Of Ribbons and Gowns and Heart Connections Feb. 2/25/2016

With the closing of TRB a source of so much connection and community was lost.

I have found myself so many mornings since sitting down on auto-pilot to check the morning threads, post my ads and the last year to read the happy brimming messages and posts and recaps following the Halloween party and the Valentines day party.

This last Friday, after a whirlwind of energetic behinds the scenes punch-bowl planners pulled together an amazing function, I found myself with no where to connect after the connections.

While this post will never reach as far or as many as the board did, it still needed to be written and have an existence other than my heart and mind.

Wow!


WHAT an evening.

I am so beyond words to try and express how much this evening, these conversations, these touches of hands and interactions mean to me. This blew every event before away (except for dancing and dessert trays which we can bring back next time (s). What struck me here was that every single person there was there because people Really cared, really felt passionately that these other humans belonged.

After I landed at home and all day Friday I just kept thinking - I got to meet people's "heart clients".

This wasn't just networking, this wasn't trying to score new connections - this was celebrating those of us who have met through the client/provider portal but have become to each other so much more.

Ladies, thank you for sharing the energy you have created with your very favorite people. Gents, thank you for being brave enough to come out. And to so many people, thank you for the hugs, the real eye contact, the sharing of your stories and journies and the wonderful hand in hand eye to eye honoring of each other.

I left this event loving my "work" world (read this as wonderful passionate people I have met to allow me to take care of my woofers in the style to which they have become accustomed) who have let me into their personal space to share time and energy and to help them remember who they are underneath the daily masks, who leave me feeling more whole and certain that I have brought something good and passionate and real to the world through our times together, even more than I already do love my work.

Meeting clients who are this kind of special, to other ladies, seeing the tenderness, passion and gratitude radiating both directions moved me.

There are moments from This nite that I will remember for the rest of my immersion in this world, and beyond.

Ahhhhh, I needed to come back and add more... about the beauty! There was so much loveliness, long gowns and cocktail dresses and cleavage'

.....Everywhere I looked was someone stunning there was a relaxed elegance to this evening a rare and amazing blend of eye candy and depth, of ease and grace, of long standing comfort between people, good humor, REAL conversations, sparkling eyes and sizzling kisses in passing. I can still feel the glow from the nearness to all this yum. The food was amazing, the drinks were generously libatious (I am quite sure that if libation and licentiousness mated that would be a word). The railing from the loft was wonderful from both looking down at all the colors and mingling, and looking up at all those looking downwards with waves, blown kisses, and winks.
